Some notes from the chat: Katic’s getting the shoulder evaluated, and surgery is a possibility but not a given; Kinasewich arrived around noon; Reich skated with Bentivoglio and Haskins today.
Not within the chat: Howard Saffan said he hadn’t seen that TV report from last night but denied any discussion about the Islanders’ selling the Sound Tigers to be moved to Albany. “The Bridgeport Sound Tigers are not for sale,” he said. He confirmed that the lease has 11 years remaining.
And sorry, Doug, for cutting you off: The lead photo on the Web site is indeed from October (it’s against Norfolk and Dustin Kohn’s in the back), hence the blue gloves.
Edit: Oklahoma City is, at long last, official. Here’s the new team’s Web site.

The TV report in the link isn’t very accurate–if you read it, it says that the guy mentioned wants to buy the “Islanders” and move them to Albany.
Funny, with all of the rumors of where the Islanders could end up, who would have ever thought Albany?! LOL
I’m sure using “Islanders” instead of “Sound Tigers” is just a typo, but there doesn’t seem to be much behind it. Unless Charles Wang sells the Islanders and they move, I wouldn’t think the Sound Tigers are going anywhere soon.

The media coverage of the whole Rats sale has been pretty bad. They clearly don’t understand the difference between affiliations and franchises, so it gets pretty confusing trying to sort through the news reports.
