Obama Night has been rescheduled: The former Oct. 30 game against Manchester is now Sunday, Jan. 9, at 7:30 p.m. It’s late because there’s a Fairfield men’s basketball game that afternoon, listed now at 3:30 p.m.

Assuming ticketholders can just use the ones from Oct. 30, but awaiting details. Edit: Yes: details here. Ticketholders unable to attend can exchange tickets for another game, equal value, and not on the day of the game they want to attend.

That makes it a four-in-five week for the Sound Tigers, including a Friday-night road trip to Wilkes-Barre. The rescheduled game will be Game 40, the exact midpoint.

The Sound Tigers’ game Oct. 30 will be rescheduled to accomodate President Barack Obama’s visit to Bridgeport, team president Howard Saffan said. “It’s an honor and a privilege to have the President of the United States in our building,” Saffan said.

Date and time are TBA. They’ll have to talk it over with Manchester. But Oct. 30 is “definitely off,” Saffan said.

Matt Martin, Jesse Joensuu and Travis Hamonic were still out today. Jack Capuano said he expects the forwards to be ready for the weekend. Hamonic remains out ill. And Nathan Lawson is back, making three goalies.
