No Cizikas this morning; just resting some soreness, Brent Thompson said, and he should be in tomorrow. Nothing else unexpected in the array out there; Cizikas’ absence left Tyler McNeely and Sean Backman’s line a man short. Sudarshan Maharaj remains in town this week to work with Poulin and Nilsson.
Missed it yesterday but was pointed in the direction today: Benn Olson received a three-game ECHL suspension for a kneeing major-game misconduct Wednesday at Idaho. Bridgeport had wanted him to play these three games in Boise, but now obviously he’ll miss the last two.
Sad to see reports that Binghamton may lose its Class-AA baseball team. (If you’d told me to guess, I would have guessed the Mets had been there longer than 20 years.)
Whale at Springfield tonight, if you’re looking for a double prescout.
