The Islanders have traded Greg Moore to Columbus for defenseman Dylan Reese.
Reese adds some depth at defense. A Rangers draft pick — he played 10 games for the Wolf Pack in 2006-07 (one assist in two games against Bridgeport) after finishing up as Harvard’s captain — he played two years for San Antonio and signed an NHL contract with Columbus in September after a most successful tryout. He had four goals and 18 assists for Syracuse, and oddly, on a very-minus Crunch team, he was plus-12.
Assuming physicals go normally, there’s apparently another piece coming to the Sound Tigers.
(Edit: Reese (to inherit Moore’s No. 15) is another righty. Remember when Bridgeport couldn’t find a right-handed defenseman?)

Mike you originially tweeted that Moore was traded Syracuse. Hope the new addition(s) help the Sound Tigers.

You’re quite right: Misspoke (mistyped). Isles trade Moore to Blue Jackets, assigned to Syracuse.
