Vibes 2010: Sunday, 8 p.m.

Every winter, when the Vibes releases its performers for the upcoming event, there is usually one name that jumps out at me. The artist’s whose name I circled for this year’s Vibes was Jimmy Cliff.
I had wanted to see the reggae legend for years and it never worked out. Mission accomplished.
Cliff was phenomenal. He is in his 60s and he has more energy than men half his age and still sings as sweet as ever.
Hearing him do “The Harder They Come” was enough to induce goosebumps. He was that good.
Cliff’s classic “Many Rivers to Cross” was another highlight and his versions of Cat Stevens’ “Wild World” and Johnny Nash’s “I Can See Clearly Now” were also great.
