I did not make it to the end of the Dark Star Orchestra show. I actually got to sit down with a cold beverage — alas, it was a diet cola — and enjoy the first set, but after that, I’d had it.
As I said earlier, I’m not a full-blown Deadhead, but I enjoy DSO. Even though I didn’t know too many of The Grateful Dead songs they played in the first set, I liked the music and the talent the members showed.
But two hours, for me, was a bit much. And DSO was scheduled to play from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. I don’t know if I could take four hours of a band I love, never mind one I merely like.
